Returns Policy

We stand behind every ring we create. If something is not right, we will work with you to make it right — fairly and transparently.

Made for you. Guaranteed.

Because every Lumière ring is created entirely to your specification, we invest significant time and care into the consultation and design approval process to ensure you are completely happy before a single tool is lifted. This is why returns are rare — and why we encourage every client to take their time during the design stage.

That said, we understand that circumstances change. Our policy below sets out clearly what we cover, what we ask of you and what to expect if you need to return or resize your ring.

Before you return

Please contact us at hello@lumierejewellers.com before sending anything back. We will assess your situation personally and advise on the best course of action. Do not return a ring without contacting us first as we cannot be responsible for items sent without prior authorisation.

Getting the fit right

We offer a complimentary first resize on all rings within 60 days of delivery. If your ring does not fit, contact us and we will guide you through the return process.

Important — return postage

Return postage for resizing is the responsibility of the customer. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured service as we cannot accept liability for rings lost or damaged in transit back to us. Once we receive your ring, resizing typically takes 2–4 weeks and redelivery to you will take a further 10–25 days depending on your location. Please plan accordingly — the full resize turnaround is 4–8 weeks from when we receive the ring.

  • First resize is free within 60 days of delivery — you only cover return postage
  • Use tracked and insured postage when returning — we cannot replace rings lost in transit
  • Allow 4–8 weeks for the full resize and redelivery process
  • Subsequent resizes may incur a fee depending on complexity

Warranty & defects

Every Lumière ring is covered by a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects. If your ring has a structural issue, a stone has come loose due to a setting failure, or there is a finishing defect attributable to our craftsmanship, we will repair or replace it.

To make a warranty claim, contact us with clear photographs and your order details. We will assess the issue and respond within 48 hours with next steps.

Warranty returns — postage

For verified manufacturing defects, we will cover the cost of redelivery to you. However, return postage to us remains the customer’s responsibility. Again, please use a tracked and insured service. Once we have assessed and confirmed the defect, we will process the repair as a priority. Allow 3–6 weeks for repair and redelivery.

What is covered

Manufacturing defects, loose or fallen stones due to setting failure, structural issues with the band or setting. Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, impact damage and damage caused by improper care are not covered but may be repaired at a reasonable cost.

Returns on custom rings

Because our rings are made entirely to order, we are unable to offer refunds once production has begun. This is why we put so much care into the design approval stage — nothing goes into production without your explicit sign-off.

  • Before design approval — full refund of any deposit paid
  • After design approval, before production — 50% of deposit refunded
  • Once production has begun — deposit is non-refundable
  • If we made an error that does not match the approved design — full remedy at our cost including return postage
Not happy? Talk to us first.

If you receive your ring and something feels wrong, please contact us before making any assumptions about the policy. We genuinely want every client to love their ring and we will always try to find a fair resolution. Most issues can be resolved without a formal return process.
